Mantra Erskine Beach Resort is a spectacular beachfront property
situated on the Great Ocean Road in Lorne. Under a two-hour drive from
Melbourne, the luxurious Resort also has the largest purpose-built
convention centre in regional Victoria. Located in one of the most
sought after coastal areas in Victoria, the Resort offers access to some
of the most breathtaking coastal landscapes in Australia. The Lorne
township itself epitomises the Surf Coast’s unique blend of dramatic

The heritage listed original building of Mantra Erskine Beach Resort was
originally built in the 1870’s by the Mountjoy family of Lorne as a
farmhouse. The building was redeveloped in the 1880’s as a temperance
hotel and finally became the prestigious guesthouse visited by such
distinguished quests as author Rudyard Kipling.
Accommodation
Having undergone recent redevelopments Mantra Erskine Beach Resort
offers 287 ultra modern Resort Rooms and Apartments of a 4.5 star
rating. Our rooms and apartments provide the highest standards of
facilities and décor.
Each apartment features a queen size bed, private ensuite, spa, fully
equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave, private laundry
facilities, separate lounge/dining areas with a fold out double sofa
bed, TV, DVD, wireless broadband and Internet, Foxtel, reverse cycle
air-conditioning and private balcony.
Each resort room includes a king size bed or two single beds, tea and
coffee making facilities, a bar fridge, basic crockery and glassware, TV
and VCR, spa and reverse cycle air-conditioning.
For families or groups, two-bedroom apartments are available consisting
of an apartment and resort room connected at the front entry. Guests can
also enjoy the convenience of complimentary car parking, twenty-four
hour reception, business centre facilities, accessible lift access,
ramped pathways, wheelchair access, eight rooms with disabled facilities
and baby-sitting services.
Dining
Mantra Erskine Beach Resort places great emphasis on our guests’ dining
experiences, offering the highest standards of variety, quality,
atmosphere and service. Utilising the freshest local produce our
Restaurant 144 guarantees diners the ultimate in gourmet Surf Coast
cuisine. Our wine list features renowned local wines and a selection of
Australian favourites, chosen carefully to enhance our style of food,
which is sure to impress.
Our Mount Joy Café Bar is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and
caters for indoor and outdoor dining with views over our seagrass lawns
toward the Lorne beach. Three main spacious dining rooms with a total
seating capacity for 250 guests provide a choice of décor, atmosphere
and views.
The Mount Joy Café Bar offers a spacious, contemporary and relaxed
atmosphere with an open fireplace and an outdoor terrace for the
enjoyment of great coffee, leaf teas, a wide selection of wines and
boutique beers along with a variety of delicious cakes.

Erskine Beach Resort provides an idyllic venue for weddings. Our
gracious site combines the old world charm of heritage listed buildings
dating back to 1870 with ultra modern facilities and resort
accommodation tastefully surrounded by spacious gardens – a setting that
ensures a memorable wedding ceremony and reception.
Due to the popularity of our Resort for conferencing, we have a limited
capacity to host weddings, so please contact us for details on

As Victoria’s largest regional conference and accommodation venue,
Mantra Erskine Beach Resort is designed to cater for all business
requirements from small management groups to large conventions with over
400 delegates. With direct vehicle access into the pillar free
Convention Centre (capacity 520 theatre style), the new facilities are
ideal for launches, conferences, exhibitions and gala events. The Resort
boasts up to eight additional meeting rooms for break out sessions as
well as the original Heritage listed ballroom with a seating capacity
for 210 guests in a banquet style setting. The venue also has incredible
wireless internet access for delegates – accessible even from the beach!
