Barbados

Barbados situated just east of the Caribbean Sea, is an independent island nation in the western Atlantic Ocean. Barbados lies in the southern Caribbean region, where it is a part of the Lesser Antilles island-chain. Barbados is relatively close to the South American continent, less than 300 miles northeast of Venezuela. Its closest island neighbors are Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the west, Grenada to the south-west, and Trinidad and Tobago to the south.


Barbados is an island nation of the Lesser Antilles, 34 kilometres (21 mi) in length and as much as 23 kilometres (14 mi) in width, amounting to 431 km2. It is situated in the western area of the North Atlantic Ocean and 100 kilometres east of the Windward Islands and the Caribbean Sea; therein, it is about 168 kilometres (104 mi) east of the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and 400 kilometres (250 mi) north-east of Venezuela. Barbados is outside of the principal hurricane belt in the region.

Once a Portuguese territorial possession known as os Barbados, in 1625 it became English, and later a British colony. With an estimated population of 275,338 people, around 80,000 live in or around Bridgetown, the largest city and the country's capital. In 1966, Barbados became an independent nation and Commonwealth realm, retaining Queen Elizabeth II as Head of State. Barbados is one of the Caribbean's leading tourist destinations and is also one of the most developed islands in the region.

The prices shown for these Sell Off Vacations are for the room for a week and not per person. Normal cleaning charges upon departure are included in all last minute vacations. NOTE: Prices do NOT include local taxes or all-inclusive fees for food etc. as these are paid directly to the resort. This is the only additionnal charge for our Last Minute Vacations.

Barbados Vacation Rental fee does not include taxes or a mandatory or optional all-inclusive fee for meals, drinks etc. Where the resort charges an all-inclusive fee, this fee is extra (from $50 and up per person per day) and is required to be paid directly to the resort at check-in.
