The Hilton Vienna Danube is situated on the banks of the river, one kilometre from Vienna Prater fairground and four kilometres from the city centre. This ten floor hotel features 367 contemporary guestrooms decorated in warm hues of cream, brown and beige with modern cherry wood furnishings. In room amenities include air conditioning, minibars, cable TV and direct dial phones with voicemail. After breakfast guests can relax with a coffee over the complimentary newspapers in the lobby or sample traditional Viennese dessert specialities al fresco on the Danube Terrace. The Symphony Donau Restaurant serves international and Austrian dishes for lunch and dinner, and a traditional Royal Swedish Sm?rgasbord buffet every Sunday. In the summer months guests can relax by the outdoor pool and for health conscious guests the hotel's Active Club provides a gym, sauna, solarium and spa tubs. Driving Directions to Holiday Hotel:The hotel offers an airport limousine transfer service at a cost of around 28.50 EUR. S Bahn overground trains runs at least every 30 minutes connecting the airport to the city centre and U Bahn. Buses depart from the airport to the City Air Terminal every 20 minutes. Other buses go to S?dbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and also to Bratislava and Budapest. Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall and cost approximately 29 EUR. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the city centre 10 minutes away. Much of the centre of Vienna can be easily seen on foot. Vienna's integrated U bahn, S bahn, bus and tram system is very efficient and reliable. Taxis are expensive and can be hailed in the street. Driving directions: From the airport take A4 East highway then A23 in the direction of Prag. Exit at Handelskai/Messegel?nde and follow the green signs for Messegel?nde. |
